This blog post is in response to Natalie’s 10 Day Freedom Plan Blog Challenge Day 10

I’m a big fan of celebrating successes, no matter how small they seem. You see, when you celebrate, you feel good right? Successful, right? And feeling successful gives us the best energy to continue the journey.

So today I’m celebrating my 10th and last day of Natalie’s 10 Day challenge. I’m so proud of myself – I’ve been quiet sick the last week and I’ve still done it. I’ve enlisted my son to help with typing and I’ve gotten really good at not trying to make it all perfect!

What I enjoyed most about taking part in this challenge was the sense of community and structure that’s come from doing something guided for 10 days.

My favourite challenge day was definitely the day I decided to do video. It’s something I’ve avoided and it turned out to be a really fun way to communicate. It felt physically more comfortable for me than typing so that’s a real win for me.

The biggest takeaway for me though is getting really clear on my “Why” – clear on why I am I running this business, not just for my self (to earn a good living) nor just for the people I’m helping with small habit changes – but also for the people who are so stuck in self destructive addictions that they can’t help themselves. So, HabitSculptor has become a social enterprise – that is, profits will be donated to organisations working to help addicts get their lives back. I’m so passionate about this – I’ve been there myself years ago – I had all sorts of help to get free and I’d really love to give back.

The next step I’m taking is actually following through and working on my business first thing in my work day for 20 minutes. Plus the big 3 hour block of time once a fortnight. I’d love to work on it full time but that’s not my reality (yet!). More specifically, the next big chunk of work I’ll do is writing a ‘season’ of posts about the mechanics of habit change, kinda like “Habits 101”.
