As I’ve said before, creating the habits that lead to success makes success automatic.

Even small positive habits can bring great success. I know this because because of the small habits which helped me overcome crippling anxiety.

I’ve been thinking lately about healthy blogging habits… and Natalie’s challenge for ten days hits this on the head. Today’s challenge is about committing to daily action – what I will do, when I will do it, and how it will get me closer to my dreams.

To set myself up for success I will:

  1. Dedicate 20 minutes of my Best Brain Power Time (BBPT) to my own business. My BBPT is definitely mornings, so I’ll do it when I first sit down to work.
  2. In my BBPT, I will only do my most important activities – in 25 minute focused blocks with movement breaks to keep me energised.
  3. My most important activities come from the recent Pro Blogger training event. I filled in 20 actions I felt I needed to take and ranked them in terms of impact vs effort (on the graph in the workbook). I took that a step further and tagged each activity as either content, traffic, community, design and tech or monetisation. And I’ve prioritised the ones that are tagged with the things I most need to focus on. For me these are content, traffic and community. So in my 20 minutes each morning, I will work on the top item on that list.

Taking daily action on my Most Important Things will mean I can help more and more people!

What daily action can you commit to that will move you closer to your goals? Make it small and easy so you can do it daily…you’ll build momentum and that feeling of success that breeds success!
